The global café

The intensity of the visual environment surrounding society is necessarily reflected in the devaluation of the architectural profession as well. One consequence of this phenomenon may be that the process of architectural design is taken over by other professions.

An installation entering experimentally into the space of the Praha v Brně café, produced from a thematic workshop of students at FaVU VUT in Brno, led by the academic sculptor Vojtěch Trocha. The workshop investigated forms of production without an architect, with the aim of addressing the “Globální kavárna” — a space that satisfies photogenicity and easy appeal with instant reach across social platforms, a space pleasant for everyone, always.
